Oriental medicine refers to it as the Emperor.
Natural Medicine views this as 50% of the immune system.

Type 2 diabetes can be a crippling disease that robs you of your normal quality of life. For those who do not follow the set guidelines recommended for its control, the result can be even more catastrophic. But one complication that sometimes arises from this disease is not physical in nature, but emotional. That complication is depression.
An estimated 20 to 40 percent of people with Type 2 diabetes also have some level of depression, about double the rate of the general population. Along with emotional pain, depression can worsen blood sugar control and raise the risk of complications.
