The schedules that we keep which are so full of work and friends and family, leave very little time for our own endeavours. We may say that we have ‘time to ourselves’, but if it’s being said between rushed mouthfuls of some unhealthy or junky ‘fast food’ or take-away, perhaps it would benefit you to take a look at your lifestyle and make a bit more time to keep yourself healthy. Even ethnic take-away can be unhealthy if it is prepared with poor quality ingredients and cooked in low quality oils!

Most of the time after we have eaten dinner with our family, there are still food in our dining table that are left uneaten. These uneaten, cooked foods are generally referred to as leftovers. Leftover foods can be stored in the refrigerator for some time and can be re-heated or cooked into a new dish.
But then, not all leftovers are safe to eat. Food poisoning usually happens when cooked foods are left in the table or in the counter for more than 2 hours. Bacteria and other contaminants will most likely land on the food and the food can cause harm to the body when eaten. Proper handling and storing of leftovers is crucial in order to ensure that the food remains safe to eat and will still taste good.

Back in the late 1990s The International Franchise Association had a program where franchisors would volunteer their services in the event of a natural disaster helping those regions of the country in their time of need. Each franchisor would make a list of the things that they were able to do, such as use their fast food restaurant to feed FEMA, first responders, or firefighters. Many of these franchisors were able to do all sorts of great things using their economies of scale, supply chains, and manpower to come to the aid of victims of natural disasters.
